The Basics About French Bulldogs The French Bulldogs first started in England as tiny English Bulldogs. In the 1860s, the breeders of French dogs have moved some of these dogs to Great Britain and then crossbred them with the French Terriers. And while in France, a lot of people there have found great affection for these dogs and hence, the term “French Bulldog” was created. And the very time that this certain breed of dog was sent back to Great Britain, there was a huge conflict with regards to its name since the Bulldog was a symbol of the culture of the English people. The French Bulldogs look very similar to the English bulldogs but they are somewhat smaller in size. The cute French Bulldogs have long, stiff bat ears. Their nose are very powerful and looks very similar with the Pug’s. The shape of their head is square, but not as huge as the English Bulldogs. On the other hand, they have round foreheads. This breed of Bulldogs are generally pear-shaped in form and have shoulders that are more widespread than their backs. They have a hair that appears soft and short and can be seen in three colors such as brindle, white, or fawn and even a combo of these three. They have big and dark eyes and they usually have under bites. Their height is about 12 inches and they are present into two class of weight: 19 to 22 pounds and 22 to 28 pounds. Without a doubt, you will really have a great time with these French Bulldogs. They are very playful and sweet. Their personalities are definitely hilarious and humorous and they like to goof around. The French Bulldogs can get along very well with any people as well as with the other animals, on the other hand, there is this one person that they have the strongest bond made. They get along well with the other breeds of dogs, but there are times wherein a couple of male French Bulldogs are violent with the other dogs, but sometimes they are not. The French Bulldogs will not have a great life if they don’t have a company, hence, they must not be ignored. They certainly love people and want to be around them all the time.
